ARTIST STATEMENT
This piece was the first time I learned my art style that I would continuously use into collage. When I first started in 2019 I wanted it to be perfect, so I took forever to add to this piece. When the option to submit an art piece came up it sparked my creativity for it again. I let go of trying to be perfect and I just went wild. I had an absolute blast working on this again, and I am so proud of myself.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Athena is a artist at St. Ambrose University. She is working towards a degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. A reoccurring theme in her are includes strange looking monsters and often bones which is her favorite media to use in her art.
