ARTIST STATEMENT
The purpose of my artwork is to offer an empowering celebration of the female nude figure. I enjoy emphasizing dramatic poses and lighting to convey a sense of body confidence, sexuality and mystery within the female gaze.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Gretchen Parris (‘05, ‘17) graduated from St. Ambrose University with a Bachelor of Arts degree with focus on painting. She also received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2017 and works as a dermatology physician assistant in the Quad Cities. Her passion for dermatology and aesthetics lends inspiration to her figure painting.
